Dr. Karen Choi obtained her Doctor of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, USA and completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Karen Choi completed an externship at the Wenzhou Medical University Eye Hospital in China where she gained knowledge about ocular diseases commonly found in the East Asian community. She has also completed externships at the Low Vision Specialty Clinics at the White River Junction Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center and Boston Medical Center. As an optometry student, she had participated in a humanitarian trip to Dominican Republic to provide eye examinations and glasses to the local community. 

Dr. Karen Choi was born and raised in Scarborough, ON and provides eye exams in English and Chinese. In her spare time, she likes to try new restaurants and dessert places.
